Title: Half-Remembered Duty

Genre: Gen
Rating: PG
Words: 1183

Summary: Grune is the only one who can stop Schwartz from hurting her friends, and even if she can't remember why, even if she can't possibly hope to win, she'll fight to protect them.
Author's Notes: So this is what happened and Grune during Luceti's Forth Wall event. I didn't really have any way to convey it in the course of RPing with everyone, so I ended up writing it out like this. Grune pulls this exact same stunt in Legendia--or, from her perspective, she will pull this exact same stunt. For someone who's so concerned with helping others, she's sure not very good at accepting help herself.

'So you've come,' she heard someone say. )

Title: The Superfluous Role of Dignity in Friendship
Fandoms: [community profile] luceti, Tales of Legendia, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, original works, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Tales of Phantasia
Rating: PG
Words: 1252 + 164 omake
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above fandoms.
Summary: There is no greater love a dignity-conscious man can show for a dear friend than to enter a crossdressing pageant for her sake.
Author's Notes: Okay, I had a lot of fun with this one. Basically, Haruhi shamelessly used Grune to get as many signups as possible for her crossdressing pageant. Lots of names were submitted, but I realized after a while that, had this pageant occurred with the cast we had last fall, there would have been a few more names involved....

The omake bit is an idea I had that I couldn't make fit into the story, but was far too tempting to pass up. So yup.

'I will admit to having done s-some ridiculous things in m-my life...but this—SURELY must be the very worst.' )

Title: Letters From a Goddess
Fandoms: [community profile] luceti, Tales of Legendia, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, original works, Tales of Phantasia, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Black Butler, Sherlock
Genre: Angst/Gen/Romance (depends on the letter)
Rating: PG
Words: 5322
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above fandoms.
Summary: The letters Grune wrote to her dearest friends before her memories faded.
Author's Notes: I am so, so sorry this took so long--but that wordcount should hopefully speak for itself. Even with Yosie typing a good chunk of these for me, it was a long, slow process.

I wound up deciding to post them all in a batch here, since Sora expressed interest in seeing them all, and it seemed fairer that way. Footnotes on certain letters are included at the bottom.

I didn't get to triple-proofread these as I usually do--I just went over them about once--so I really hope there aren't any errors. Let me know if there are, please!

Title: Where Peace Should Dwell
Fandoms: [community profile] luceti, Tales of Legendia, Tales of Phantasia, The Legend of Zelda
Genre: Angst
Rating: PG
Words: 3271
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above fandoms.
Summary: Grune watches over her friends, their lives, and their endings. When she discovers one who has not found peaceful rest, she deems it necessary to intervene.
Author's Notes: This was a joint idea that Naomi and I had, which we worked out in the comments to one of my fics. It's something of a spinoff of "White Is For Remembrance" and "Green Is For The Goddess" and was written in a similar vein. Whether this is going to turn into a series is anyone's guess, but signs point to yes. Just like everything else I write.

This one required extensive editing, and while I think it could be even tighter, I'm still pleased with how it turned out. So, well, happy reading!

She looks into the face of a dead man then, and though the eye sockets of a skull cannot widen, a spirit may still gasp. )

Fandoms: [livejournal.com profile] luceti, Tales of Legendia, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, Final Fantasy VIII, Tales of Phantasia, original works, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Legend of Zelda
Genre: Gen
Rating: PG
Words: appr. 1181
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above fandoms.
Summary: Fifty small moments between a king and a woman in disguise.
Author's Notes: Being extremely unfamiliar with the Final Fantasy series (I've only ever gotten most of the way through FFX), I thought these would be a lot harder than they turned out to be. I guess Cecil and Grune's long, long threads filled in that particular gaping hole in my gamer credentials. :D;;

A note on #22: I was really reluctant to use "blind" in any sense but visual impairment, but I ended up doing so anyway. I just didn't want to get into that territory in only one sentence. So yeah.

07. Soon: She has no idea why he looks so alarmed when she suggests that maybe Ceodore and Selphie would like children of their own someday. )

Summary: Some people never want to go home.
Author's Notes: Not a lot to say about this one. It's short, but I think I managed to get the right idea across all the same. I know a number of you were looking forward to reading this one, so I hope I've managed to deliver!

'If you could go home from Luceti right now, would you?' )

Genre: Humour/romance
Rating: PG
Words: 4049 this part, 7093 overall
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above fandoms.
Summary: The early days of Grune and Dhaos' relationship, as seen through the eyes of Fenimore, Norma, and Dhaos. Part 3: Dhaos discovers the perils of embarking on a relationship with one of the most innocent (and most social) members of Luceti.
Author's Notes: This is the part of the fic that's most showing its age. Some characters' situations and relationships have changed significantly since I wrote this in early fall; rather than reworking the fic extensively, I chose to change only superficial details and leave the overall structure of the fic intact.

There are also a number of characters who have become close to Grune in the time since I wrote the fic and its posting (Pao-lin and Seto come immediately to mind--and Robert, but I kind of doubt he'd be giving a talk to Dhaos) who would have gotten their own special scenes. I suppose that's what drabbles are for....

Special thanks to [livejournal.com profile] hickumu for helping me with Giles' section! ♥

Anyway, this is the final part, so enjoy!

Chapter 1
Chapter 2

He supposed it was only to be expected. Grune had the love of more people than Dhaos could keep track of—much to his discomfort. It was only natural for them to be protective of someone so innocent. )

Rating: PG if you squint
Words: appr. 1166
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above fandoms.
Summary: The sweet and simple friendship of Link and Grune in fifty moments.
Author's Notes: Strangely enough, for someone who's been playing games in the Zelda series for over a decade now, these were the hardest set for me yet. I'm not quite sure why, but yeah. So, well, I'm not as happy with them as I could be, but oh well. Hopefully they're decent enough.

Oh yeah, also, I borrowed a couple of times from Majora's Mask, which I know isn't strictly Link's canon, but anything can happen in Luceti, right?

12. Temptation: 'Would you like another cookie?' she asks, and the answer is never 'no.' )

Words: 981 this part, ?? overall

Summary: The early days of Grune and Dhaos' relationship, as seen through the eyes of Fenimore, Norma, and Dhaos. Part 1: Fenimore attempts to solve the mystery of "Who Finished Off Grune's Remaining Wits?"
Author's Notes: Yeah, this was supposed to be a short one. And I did manage it for the first chapter! ...But the second and third exploded on me. Whoops. So, I guess you could consider this more of an introduction than a first chapter, but whatever.

The phrase "honest, direct communication" (c) the first result that came up when Googling "relationship communication." :|b

Narrowing down the party responsible for Grune's unusually unusual behaviour was a big job, though, and, after a bit, Fenimore took to working out the problem as she did her chores. )

Summary: Moments from one friendship between four women in two bodies.
Author's Notes: Does what is says on the tin. #13 has two parts, because I wrote "Fall" before noticing the four seasons theme, but liked what I'd come up with too much to junk it. So yeah.

03. Beginning: Grune is so tired she can barely focus on the writing in her journal, let alone answer the question, but that's all right: soon, she'll have a new friend. )

Summary: Out looking for strawberries, Grune finds Ginia and Giles trying to warm up together.
Author's Notes: I am a terrible person. So is [livejournal.com profile] icarused. This fic comes from us discovering our terrible ideas can be remarkably similar at times....

She paused to listen for a moment, tilting her head. Someone was making low sounds, a man. Was he hurt? )
