It was a beautiful summer day—warm with a nice little breeze to blow away the very hottest of the sun's rays. Every time it tugged at her dress or her veil, Grune smiled. It was as if she had company as she searched for the strawberries Link had said were ready to be picked. That was a happy thought.

As she wandered here and there, looking for the bright red berries, she became gradually aware that she and her breeze weren't alone. She could hear a voice not very far away.

She paused to listen for a moment, tilting her head. Someone was making low sounds, a man. Was he hurt?

Berry basket in hand, Grune ambled closer. As she did, she heard the man say with an unusual, familiar accent, "Ginia." He sounded as though he were concentrating very hard.

Oh, maybe it was Giles and Ginia! Grune picked up her pace, smiling in happy anticipation of seeing her friends.

When she stepped into the clearing where the pair were, however, her confusion stopped her at its edge. Giles and Ginia both seemed to have lost their clothes somewhere, and they seemed very cold. Ginia was sitting on top of Giles, and they were moving together to keep warm. Ginia seemed to be the coldest, because she was making pained faces, but Giles seemed cold, too—so cold, he was gasping with it. It was a little strange, since it was such a nice day, but maybe it was colder with all your clothes off.

She looked about for something warm she could give them and her gaze landed on some clothing hanging off a nearby bush. Oh, how lucky!

She slipped her basket to the crook of her arm, and, picking up a tie in one hand and a sundress in the other, she called out cheerfully, "Hello, Ginia! Hello, Giles! I found some clothes for you to wear!"

Both their gazes snapped to where she was standing, and they went statue-still for just a moment. Then, Ginia flung her arm around her breasts, and one of Giles' hands shot down low. He also seemed to be trying to cover Ginia's breasts with his other hand without touching her, and his head turned away so she could only see where his hair was sticking up at the back.

"G-Grune, what are you—?" he stammered out at the same time Ginia finger-spelled . . . oh, her name!

She couldn't quite see what else Ginia was saying, though, so she stepped nearer, until Ginia flung out a hand in a "stop" gesture. Obediently, she halted where she was.

"I think there are more clothes here," she said, looking around. "You can borrow those if you're cold. I'm sure whoever dropped them won't mind."

"Very . . . very kind of you, th-thank you," Giles said, and Grune could see his ears and the back of his neck were very pink for some reason. "C-Could you . . . could you go somewhere else, s-so we can get dressed? Please?"

Ginia nodded very emphatically and made a shooing gesture with the hand she didn't have in front of her.

"All right," Grune said agreeably and set down the clothes for them. "Maybe later, you can come visit me and we can eat the strawberries I found together."

"Good, yes, good, but please, j-just . . . let us get dressed. We're, ah, we're very cold," Giles said quickly, stumbling over his words because of his chill.

"All right," she said again. "I'll see you soon! Goodbye!"

As she left, she wondered if she should have told her friends that Giles had been lying on top of a blanket, so they could have gotten warmer much sooner.

Probably not, she decided. They might have felt a little silly for forgetting.
