Title: A Piano Lesson With Miss Grune
Fandoms: [community profile] luceti, Tales of Legendia, Eternal Sonata, Axis Powers Hetalia, original works
Genre: Gen
Rating & Warnings: G
Words: 1491
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above fandoms.
Summary: Frédéric François Chopin teaches a typical atypical piano lesson to Grune.
Author's Notes: This is the fic I wrote in honour of Frédéric's departure from Luceti ages ago. Now that he's back, I suppose it's a good time to post it. :D;;

This was an interesting exercise, in that teaching piano lessons is kind of my job, but presumably I would teach very differently from someone from the 19th century. I've also never taught anyone like Grune (although I certainly have taught my share of wiggly small children!), so that was another fun challenge. Writing this was a little too much like work, though, so I don't think I'll do anything like it again anytime soon. Whoops.

He had never before taken on a student with such an—impairment to the memory. )

Title: 30-Day Cheesy Tropes Challenge - 04. Angel/Demon AU
Fandom: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Genre: Gen
Rating & Warnings: G this part, PG-13 overall?
Words: 366 this part, ?? overall
Disclaimer: I don't own Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Summary: Jules isn't very good at being a demon.
Author's Notes: Can anyone tell I'm a fan of Good Omens?

Also, I had intended the use of "Jules" as more of a concept than anything else--the ages of angels and demons are rather hard to pin down--but it seems to have influenced me subconsciously, so this is more of a friendshippy fic than a shippy one, really. Oh well.

For the first few dozen centuries of his existence, he'd been fine with muddling along as best he could. )

Title: A Chance To Protect Luceti
Fandoms: [community profile] luceti, Tales of Legendia, Persona 3
Genre: Gen
Rating & Warnings: PG-13 for violence
Words: 3861
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above fandoms.
Summary: During a fierce storm, Grune and Ryoji need to protect Luceti--but first, Ryoji needs to become something else.
Author's Notes: One of my big regrets in Luceti is actually sending Grune on the draft that took place during the giant storm. I really, really wanted to have her team up with Ryoji, but ultimately I decided that it had been long enough since her last draft that she was due for another one.

Then I ended up not doing much of anything, thereby wasting both my opportunities. v___v

So, this fic is my attempt to remedy that. I suppose it could be considered the final part to "A Chance Rescue" and "A Chance Visit." Pretty much, I took the scenario that Snarky wrote up for Ryoji on the village post and basically ran with it. I had a lot of fun writing this one (doing fic from Grune's point of view is always a great thought exercise), and I think it turned out fairly well overall. So yup!

'Ryoji, do you want to meet up so we can protect the village together?' )

Title: Addendum - 01. 4x17 "Accession"
Fandom: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine
Genre: Gen
Rating & Warnings: G this part, PG-13 overall. No warnings this part.
Words: 982 this part, ?? overall
Disclaimer: I don't own Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Summary: Additions, expansions, and rewrites to various DS9 episodes. 4x17 "Accession": In trying to find a substitute for Chief O'Brien's company now that the Chief's family has returned from Bajor, Bashir turns to his other friends and thereby learns exactly how irreplaceable O'Brien really is.
Author's Notes: DS9 being written in a 45-minute format and being subject to budgets, actor availability, and so forth, there's a lot of stuff that the writers couldn't do that I feel would've made many of its episodes stronger. It's totally understandable--but that doesn't mean I don't want to play with the loose ends all the same.

This one comes from a scene in the episode where, as it says above, Chief O'Brien's family returns from Bajor, meaning he can no longer live a bachelor's life with Bashir. The original scene had Bashir playing darts with Morn the barfly for humour (and probably to give Morn's actor his required appearance in the show), and it was pretty funny, but it also had the unfortunate side effect of making poor Bashir look very friendless. So, I rewrote the scene to include his friends.

...Bashir probably would have been happier if I had left well enough alone. XD

'I don't suppose you'd like to play darts with me tomorrow night, would you?' )

Title: 21 Could-Have-Been Years in the Life of Cecil Harvey
Fandoms: [community profile] luceti, Tales of Legendia, Final Fantasy IV
Genre: Gen
Rating & Warnings: This part G; PG overall
Words: 358, ?? overall
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above fandoms.
Summary: Cecil has something very serious on his mind.
Author's Notes: This fic is brought to you by the entry for four year olds in my mom's old child development book, which states in part:

He may display signs of an Oedipal conflict where he imagines that Daddy dies or goes away and he marries Mommy and takes care of her.

...After that, the fic pretty much wrote itself! XD

He sets down his ball, closes the short distance between them, and with a serious look, he takes her hand. )

Title: A Bad Person
Fandoms: [community profile] luceti, Tales of Legendia, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, Tales of Phantasia, Tiger & Bunny, original works
Genre: Gen/Humour
Rating & Warnings: PG (referenced character death)
Words: 3690
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above media.
Summary: When Grune learns of Maurits' remorseless role in Fenimore's death, two things become clear to her: Maurits is a bad person and he can no longer stay in House 34.
Author's Notes: This one came about due to a misunderstanding. I had thought that Maurits had briefly been in Luceti in its very early days and thus found myself wondering how that would play out with the current cast of characters, plus Shirley. By the time I found out I was wrong, this fic was already underway.

It's not necessary to have seen Fenimore's death scene, but it might help. Also, this is well over a year old, so, well, yeah.

'You killed Fenimore,' she said clearly. 'And you're not sorry.' )

Genre: Gen
Rating & Warnings: PG (implied character death)
Words: 1158
Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above media.
Summary: Fifty moments of growing together shared between Grune and Rydia and Kain Highwind.
Author's Notes: And I continue my trend of posting old fic. I'm pretty sure I wrote this somewhere in the summer or maybe fall, but I really can't be more specific than that. I do remember having fun with these, though, so I hope there is pleasant to read as they were to write.

16. Victim: 'You too?' Rydia asks on a sigh when Kain pushes Grune into the 'dragon's cave' then stalks off in search of another 'princess.' )

Summary: Yuan loves the fandalias very much.
Author's Notes: I had a little fun experimenting with the form of this one; unlike my other experiments, I think this one was actually successful. Of course, that's up to you all to decide. :|b

The day she brings the seedlings over to Yuan's garden is the very first day she sees him silent, even a little stunned. )

Summary: In which True!Grune educates three of her young and inexperienced friends on the nature of healthy relationships.
Author's Notes: Something light and silly I wrote for the hell of it; the quality kind of reflects my non-serious intent with this. :D;; I'm not all that familiar with Luca and Iria in particular, so I probably mucked something up with them. Oops.

Don't take this too seriously. :D;;

Genre: Gen
Rating: PG-13
Words: 5951
Disclaimer: I don't own the above fandoms.
Summary: There is no balance between good and evil on Giles' Earth, and Grune cannot leave the home of one so loved in such a condition. However, she is not strong enough to right what is wrong on her own.
Author's Notes: So basically this one is me shamelessly indulging my weakness for Grune being a badass. It took me a long time to write, then to dictate and edit, but overall I'm fairly pleased with how it came out.

While I haven't watched all that much of Buffy, I tried to make the appearance of the First Evil what I think would be likely for the show. Even if it isn't what I personally would have gone with, I think this fits in the universe better. I could be completely off base, though.

I apologize in advance for any mistakes I might have made with the canon; I did a lot of reading and looking at images, but yeah.

. . . But, as she travels along the freshly-laid sidewalks, she cannot help but think: in a way, this is a world more desperate than the one for which she currently fights. )

Disclaimer: I don't own the above fandoms.
Summary: When your housemate believes everything she's told, it can lead to some very, very weird conversations.
Author's Notes: I wrote this one over a period of more than half a year. Every single situation in the fic is a direct result from things people actually told Grune in the course of Luceti; I didn't make up a single one of them. At the rate things are going, I could probably write a sequel--Grune hears a lot of weird things--but it's not in my plans at the moment.

...At the moment.

Thanks to Yosie for typing this one for me--though I suppose he did have a good reason to be invested in it. :P

Summary: Grune has a nice visitor to one of her dreams--a nervosa.
Author's Notes: This is something I wanted to do to participate in Katie McCoy's ongoing player plot, but I couldn't think of a way to work it into game canon. I guess you could assume everything to do with Grune is canon, but the second half of the fic can be considered me just goofing around. Sorry, Walter. I love you, honestly I do.

It's not the best thing I've ever written, but I had fun, so hey.

But then, it's night, as suddenly as if someone had shut off an electric light. )

Summary: Two sonnets written by Giles to Grune--and one written by her in response when her memories return.
Author's Notes: One of my students needed help writing a sonnet for his homework one day last month; afterwards, I thought it seemed an interesting challenge and decided to give it a go.

I've deliberately deviated from form in each one; rather than have a reversal, I changed the formatting to suit my own purposes. I will also freely admit to being unskilled at poetry, having not made a serious attempt at the stuff outside of what was required in class since high school. Still, I'm trying to expand as a writer, so here you are.

Ah, gentle hand upon my bloodstained own.... )

Summary: Slowly, Shirley learns to extend her hand to the right person.
Author's Notes: This is a birthday present for Feral, who's been having a truly abysmal year, so I hope it can make her smile even a little. I'm a bit concerned about it turning out all right, because, erm, the person I'm most comfortable writing in this fic is dead and the person I'm least comfortable writing is the viewpoint character. orz Hopefully it's okay, though!

Thanks again go to Yosie for helping me get this up and running faster than I would have otherwise--although considering the subject matter, somehow, I don't think it was too much of a hardship for him. :P

Disclaimer: I don't own Tales of Graces.
Summary: Everything will be different for Richard from this morning on.
Author's Notes: Why am I posting after pulling a quasi-allnighter.

I've been experimenting with form and symmetry lately (although I haven't actually posted anything else yet), and this is part of what I've been trying. I can't say I feel I was particularly successful here, but hey.

This was also intended to preface another fic taking place the first full day after the events on Lhant Hill, but it ended up not fitting the overall tone, so I'm posting it as its own piece. So yup.

He was alive. )

Summary: Perhaps moving almost directly from playing with a three-year-old to attending a court banquet isn't the best of ideas.
Author's Notes: So, erm, this is the point where things start getting longer and longer. I seem to have quadrupled the previous fic's word count, whoops. That's what happens when Cecil starts getting more able to interact, I guess!

As a side note...does the King of Baron have an official name? I've seen it suggested that it's Odin, given the summon and all, but I'm kind of under the impression that's fanon. So yeah.

Summary: Fifty moments of a simple friendship in pink and green.
Author's Notes: So this thing is old--as in I wrote it when the year was brand new and Pommy's drop from Luceti was fresh. ...I really, really need to start posting things in a more timely manner.

I'm pretty happy with most of them, although there are a few that I probably would keep prodding at for quite a while if I didn't force myself to get up off my ass and post. Oh well.

Hilariously, #3 actually happened in Luceti back in June (IIRC), but with a tiny Zevran. I had forgotten all about writing it until I went back and started dictating these, and then I was muchly entertained.

How did Dhaos end up in these so often, anyway?

Summary: Yui is grateful for all the opportunities coming to Luceti has given her and Grune is, too.
Author's Notes: I really need to post these sooner, before everyone who's signed up has dropped. D:

Anyway, Taisa was a really big help explaining her reasoning behind the prompt, so a big thank you to her! ♥ Unfortunately, it was only after I'd written the piece and was checking around to make sure everything lined up canon-wise that I discovered that in her home manga, Yui is actually a terrible cook.... So, um, basically, assume that Yui's practice with her galpals in Luceti paid off and the rest can fall under Grune being the world's most unreliable narrator.

As always when it comes to canons I'm entirely ignorant of, any mistakes in characterisation or situation are entirely my own. /sob

Summary: Sequel to "A Chance Rescue." A teenaged boy stops by to help Grune with her garden, leaving Fenimore to wonder just why he sounds so familiar.
Author's Notes: The second of what's now three fics involving House 34 and Ryoji. Unsurprisingly, it makes more sense if you read the first one first (gasp!).

Not a lot to say about this, except that this is a pretty good illustration of why Luceti keeps giving poor Fenimore heart attacks. Token normal person of House 34, goooo....

Disclaimer: I don't own any of the above fandoms.
Summary: Fenimore is grateful that Grune asked a friend of hers to watch over them, really she is--but did it have to be this friend?
Author's Notes: So my brain had another one of those "turn a chance (hah) remark into a fic series" moments again. This time, there'll be only two three two three fics...as of right now. Unless I get too caught up in the tarot symbolism of Persona 3, in which case send help now.

Basically, I was regretting Grune not getting the chance to see/fight alongside Ryoji while he's in his true form and joked with Snarky, his mun, that Grune would just have to ask Ryoji to look after Fenimore and Sophie while she's away on the draft. And then my brain did its thing and here we are.

Thanks a lot to Snarky for helping me with the Persona 3 things and pointing me in the right direction so I could properly wiki stuff. Any mistakes here are definitely my own.

All that stopped her scream was Sophie's presence behind her. )
