Author's Notes: I made sure to include everyone who commented to the prompt. It was a pretty long list!

It was just an ordinary day for Grune in Luceti.

First, she woke up and went the next room over to the kitchen for breakfast. While she was eating, Norma came in, yawning, all ready for her good morning hug. (Norma was very cuddly in the mornings. It was a nice way to wake up.)

Then, she went outside to say good morning to her garden. While she was watering some of her flowers, Frodo came to visit for a gardening lesson. As they worked, Frodo told her about his special friend. He seemed as though he missed him very much and looked so sad that she made sure to give him a nice, big hug. Frodo was a little surprised, but he looked happier afterward. That made her want to hug him all over again.

Once she had waved goodbye to Frodo, she went on a little walk. When she passed one building, she saw a man coming out of it, so of course she said hello. The man said that his name was Jack, just like her other friend Jack—how wonderful that they had something in common!

Jack looked very sad, and so she decided to give him a hug, too. He acted as if he liked hugs very much, but just as she was about to pull him close, he looked over her shoulder and said very quickly that he needed to go.

Once he had left, she looked over her shoulder to see what Jack had seen, but all that was behind her was Fenimore, out on a walk with her frying pan. So, Grune gave her the hug instead.

After that, she went out of the village to do some cloudwatching. When she was getting ready to go back a little (or was it a lot?) later, she met another man out in the forest. This man said that his name was Derek. They talked for a little while, and then Grune gave him a hug. This time, her new friend didn't run away. Instead, they held each other for a long time, and, like Frodo, Derek looked happier after the hug was finished.

She decided to go home for a little while, and so she wandered along the riverside until it was time to cross the bridge. There, she met her other friend named Jack, the one who called her "Figment." (She still didn't quite understand why.) He told her that he was looking for gifts from everyone who passed—although he said it a little strangely—and said that she could give him a hug for her gift.

She loved giving people presents, and so she was all ready to hug him when Jack looked over her shoulder, held up his hands, and said that he was actually all right and he didn't need a hug anymore. Then he left in a big hurry.

Once again, she was confused, and she looked over her shoulder, but all she could see was Dhaos. He didn't look very happy, though, so she made sure to give him a big hug.

Dhaos was always so stiff when she hugged him, she noticed. She would have to make sure to give him lots more hugs, so he could be nice and relaxed.

After they talked for a little while, Grune finally made it home. Not long after, Giles asked her over the journals if he could come over, and of course she said yes. When he arrived, he gave her a type of peppermint tea she had never tried before. She was so happy at his kindness that she gave him a big hug. For some reason, it made him a little shy for a while, but soon he was back to normal, and they spent quite some time drinking her new tea together.

Things were nice and quiet until bedtime. Then it was time for Norma's good night hug and cuddle (she was very cuddly in the evenings, too), and Grune was off to bed.

She lay awake in her bed for just a little while, smiling gently. She couldn't wait to see even more of her friends in the morning.
