While I've been loving Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn so far, finding out that the support conversation feature had been eliminated was a real disappointment to me. I mentioned to a friend or two that I was tempted to write up some replacements, and got some "dooo eeets" in reply. Not being one to resist peer pressure, at least where writing is concerned, well...here I am.
I have no idea how many of these I'm going to wind up doing--it depends on when my short attention span runs out. But for now, here's where I'll be dumping them.

Edward: Hah! Hyaaaa!
Leonardo: Hello, Edward. Are you training again?
Edward: Leonardo, hi! Yeah, you bet! I want to be the best swordfighter in the entire army, and I sure can't do that by sleeping all the time!
Leonardo: That's a great goal, Edward...but don't you think you should get someone to give you lessons?
Edward: Huh? What do you mean?
Leonardo: Well, I don't know too much about swords, but it seems like you're wasting a lot of energy. Your movements are really large.
Edward: You think? Maybe I should go ask someone for some advice. Thanks, Leonardo!
Leonardo: You're welcome.
Edward: Hey, by the way.... Who'd you learn archery from, anyway? You look pretty good on the battlefield.
Leonardo: ...My family hired a teacher for me a few years ago. He taught me the basics and a few advanced techniques. ...I had to pick up the rest later.
Edward: O-oh. Okay. ...I'm sorry.
Leonardo: Don't apologize. It's all right.
Edward: Well, okay.... Um, I guess I'll go find someone to give me some tips. See you around.
Leonardo: Stay safe.

Leonardo: Hello, Edward. How's the training going?
Edward: Great! Ever since I went to get some advice, I think I've really improved a lot. They'll be singing songs about me any day now!
Leonardo: I guess.... Just don't forget to keep working hard, all right?
Edward: Of course I won't! Everyone knows the only way to get stronger is to keep on training.
Leonardo: That's one way, anyway.
Edward: ...Hey, listen, Leonardo--about the other day....
Leonardo: Don't worry about it, Edward. I'm fine.
Edward: Yeah, but it was stupid of me. I know you don't like talking about your family, so I try not to mention anything, but--
Leonardo: You're being careful for me?
Edward: Well, uh, yeah. I don't want to remind you.
Leonardo: ...
Edward: W-what? Did I say something wrong?
Leonardo: ...No, not at all. Thanks, Edward. You don't have to be so worried about me.
Edward: You're sure?
Leonardo: I am.
Edward: Well...all right.... Say, Leonardo.
Leonardo: Yes?
Edward: If you ever need to talk...you know, get it out there...come find me, okay? I'd be happy to listen.
Leonardo: Thanks. I will.
Edward: All right! Now let's get going. Stay close so I can show you everything I've learned, got it?
Leonardo: Got it!

Leonardo: ...Edward, do you have a moment?
Edward: Huh? Sure, what's up?
Leonardo: I was wondering if it would be all right if I could talk to you. If you're busy, that's all right....
Edward: No way! I'm never too busy for my best friend! Come on, let's go find some place quiet.
Leonardo: ...
Edward: ...
Leonardo: ...I'm not sure where to start.
Edward: The beginning?
Leonardo: Somehow I knew you were going to say that. ...Edward, are you still in contact with your family?
Edward: Well, sure--I send them letters all the time. Why?
Leonardo: It must be nice to know your family's safe.
Edward: ...Yeah. Even if it's a bit embarrassing whenever Mom reminds me to eat my vegetables, I still like hearing from everyone. It reminds me why I'm fighting, you know?
Leonardo: ...
Edward: ...Oh...sorry.... But your family's still alive, right? That's what you said when I first asked.
Leonardo: I don't know. I haven't heard from them since I escaped. I don't think Begnion would have left them alive....
Edward: B-but why? Who would look after the people on your lands if their lord and his family were killed?
Leonardo: If the lord of Palercea were accused of treason, Begnion would seize the lands. Then they could do whatever they liked. That's why I think Father and Mother must be....
Edward: ...Is that why you joined the Dawn Brigade?
Leonardo: Yes. I thought if someone stopped Begnion, then I could save my family. When I heard about the Dawn Brigade, I thought I'd finally found a way to get Palercea out from under Begnion's heel. So one night, when I heard you were close, I packed up my best bow and as many arrows as I could carry, and I left. I think the goddess must have been protecting me--the most inattentive guards were on duty that night.
Edward: ...I remember when you first turned up, you were so jumpy. Heck, we were, too--we thought nobody would be able to find our hideout. How'd you do it, anyway?
Leonardo: I heard somebody whistling and I followed the sound. I almost turned back, then. I thought if the Dawn Brigade had people so foolhardy as to whistle while on guard duty, I'd be better off trying to find somebody else--even if there wasn't anybody else.
Edward: ...Oh. I-I see....
Leonardo: I changed my mind, though, when I saw how determined you all were. All of you made me think maybe you could defeat Begnion, after all. Especially you, Edward.
Edward: Me?
Leonardo: You never gave up. Even when some of our plans fell apart, you'd always say something like "We'll get them the next time!" You kept me from despairing. You still do. So...I guess--I wanted to tell you this so you'd know how important you are to me. I don't even want to think about living without you.
Edward: ...Me neither. You're my best friend, even if you are a nag.
Leonardo: And you're my best friend, even if you scare me with your swordfighting sometimes. ...Promise you won't leave me?
Edward: I promise. We'll stay together forever!
Leonardo: Forever...I'd like that.
Edward: All right! Once the war is done, let's go back to Palercea together!
Leonardo: What about your family?
Edward: They can come, too! I'm sure they wouldn't mind!
Leonardo: I'm not so sure about that. But for now, let's focus on surviving this war.
Edward: Right!

Tibarn: Hey there, Reyson. How are you holding up?
Reyson: Tibarn, I'm fine. You should know by now I can look after myself.
Tibarn: You sure you're fine? You know how you get on the battlefield.
Reyson: Actually...it's quite strange. Though the negative energy of battle should be taking its toll on me, I feel wonderful. It's as though a great weight has been lifted from my shoulders.
Tibarn: Hmph. I don't like the sound of that. It looks like we need some chaos to liven us up.
Reyson: Now that you mention it...you're right. Order lies heavy on Tellius. It must be the Goddess Ashera's influence.
Tibarn: The more fights we get into, the better I'll feel--although it won't do much for you, unfortunately.
Reyson: Tibarn, stop worrying about me. I said I'll be fine, and I will be. I want to fight at your side. And if you try to keep me out of it, I'll go ahead and fight anyway.
Tibarn: As usual, there's no changing your mind, is there? ...All right, Reyson. But make sure to stay close, got it?
Reyson: I will. Thank you, Tibarn.
Tibarn: Don't mention it.
B Support
Reyson: Tibarn, why are you slowing down?
Tibarn: No reason in particular. I just felt like taking a breather.
Reyson: You're trying to go easy on me, aren't you?
Tibarn: Hey now, don't ruffle your feathers at me. Even I need a break sometimes. I'm not invincible, you know.
Reyson: ...No, I suppose not. Sometimes I forget you grow tired like the rest of us. You've always seemed unstoppable. When I first came to Phoenicis after Serenes burned, I almost thought you alone would be enough to take on Begnion's armies. You were so different from the herons I had known.
Tibarn: I might be strong, Reyson, but even I couldn't pull off a feat like that.
Reyson: I know that now, but back then.... I wanted to be just like you. I prayed to the Goddess every night to turn my white feathers brown and give me talons. Then I could avenge my people, instead of having to ask you to act in my stead.
Tibarn: Trust me, it's no burden to help you with your revenge. And anyway, you're doing a great job fighting now. You've got special skills that no one else has, so don't discount them. I know if I tried singing galdrar to strengthen my men, they'd all turn tail with their hands over their ears.
Reyson: Hahaha. That would be quite the thing to hear. I'm grateful now for my galdrar, although I used to wonder what use they were, especially compared to your talons.
Tibarn: Reyson--
Reyson: You don't need to give me that look, Tibarn. I understand now that I am strong...my strengths are simply different from yours.
Tibarn: Good. Glad to hear it. I don't want you undervaluing yourself. You're just as vital to the success of our army as I am.
Reyson: Mmm. Now we should catch up before we're left behind.
Tibarn: Yeah, you're right. All right, Reyson, lead the way.

Reyson: Tibarn, are you all right?
Tibarn: I'm just fine, Reyson. Never you fear.
Reyson: But those wounds...!
Tibarn: Scratches. Don't worry--I'm not about to kick it anytime soon.
Reyson: How can you say that so lightly?!
Tibarn: I've had a lot worse than this. You know that, Reyson. You've seen it yourself. Why are you getting in such a flap, anyway?
Reyson: I...was just thinking. Seeing you hurt has made me realise how important you are to me. Without you, I would never have survived to see this day.
Tibarn: Don't talk nonsense, Reyson. You're stronger than that.
Reyson: As much as it pains me to say it, I was once quite weak. All those years ago when you took me in first, I...I'm ashamed to admit I nearly forfeited my life.
Tibarn: ...
Reyson: You were the one who kept me from despairing utterly. When my sense of my own impotence consumed me, you showed me that I could be useful in battle as well. You let me fight by your side as an equal, even if you always had someone keeping an eye on me.
Tibarn: Reyson, I--
Reyson: No, don't deny it. As careful as you were to keep me from finding out, I'm not stupid. It was no coincidence Janaff and Ulki always happened to feel like fighting alongside Ike at about the same time I did.
Tibarn: Sounds like you've known for a while now.
Reyson: Yes, I have. When I first found out, I was furious. But after a while, when I calmed down, I realised it was just you doing the same as you've always done--looking after me. You've cared for me for more than twenty years now. It pains me that I'll never be able to repay you.
Tibarn: Even if you could find some way to pay me back, I wouldn't accept it. I didn't open the doors of Phoenicis Hall to you and your father and Leanne because I wanted some sort of favour from you. The herons are my brothers and sisters, and I could no more ignore your suffering than that of my own people.
Reyson: Tibarn....
Tibarn: It's become more than a duty. All of you have become dear to me--you especially, Reyson. The last twenty-three years have been the best of my life, all because you've been at my side.
Reyson: ...Thank you, Tibarn. I swear on my life that I will never leave you, no matter what happens.
Tibarn: Then I'll do the same. As long as I can draw breath, I'll protect you, Reyson, so long as you protect me in return.
Reyson: I swear it.
Tibarn: Then let's keep fighting and work on getting out of this blasted tower alive. Ready to go, Reyson?
Reyson: Yes. As long as we go together.

Naesala: Hmm?
Makalov: I saw you on the battlefield the other day and whoo! Your fighting was crazy! You were like a black god of death! Amazing!
Naesala: ...What do you want, Makalov?
Makalov: Wh-who said I wanted anything? And how do you know my name?
Naesala: Oh, I have my ways.
Makalov: ...Uhh...well...I did want one thing. I don't suppose you could lend me some money, could you? I, uh, saw these starving orphens a few days ago and I was so moved, I gave them every last gold piece I had! Now I'm the one who's starving and my stupid sister won't even lend me any money so I can eat! Imagine!
Naesala: You're an example to us all. How much do you want?
Makalov: What, you're really going to give me money? Wahoo!! All right! How about a thousand for a start?
Naesala: A thousand.... Right. Now I have a question for you. Have you ever heard of compound interest?

Makalov: Hey King Naesala! Uh, about that thousand gold I owe you....
Naesala: One thousand, eight hundred and twenty-three.
Makalov: WHAT?! But I only asked for a thousand!
Naesala: Sounds like you forgot about the terms of our agreement. I'm charging you interest.
Makalov: B-but it's barely been any time at all! That's not fair!
Naesala: I did ask you if you'd heard of compound interest and you said yes. It's not my problem if you were lying to me.
Makalov: I wasn't lying! I just thought...you were talking about something else. That's it!
Naesala: Whatever you say.
Makalov: A-anyway! Uhh...hey! Why don't we play a game? It's a beorc game, but I bet a smart guy like you would pick up on it in no time!
Naesala: Why not? Go ahead, tell me about this beorc game.
Makalov: It's easy! I've got these wooden blocks right...here.... I'll put one face-down like this. You make a bet and then try to guess which pattern's on the other side. If you guess right, I give you the amount of your wager, and if you don't, I get to keep your money. How about it?
Naesala: I think I get the idea. All right, I'll start. I think I'll wager a thousand.
Makalov: A thousand?! ...Gulp.... All right. Here goes....

Naesala: Hello there, Makalov. Ready to make a payment?

Naesala: So did you. But I did it better.
Makalov: There's no way I'm going to be able to pay back that seven thousand I owe now! What am I supposed to do?
Naesala: It's seven thousand, eight hundred, and sixty-one, by the way.
Makalov: Oh no, you've got to be kidding me! Marcia's going to kill me!
Naesala: You know, if you really wanted to get out of debt, you could just stop gambling.
Makalov: What? But...it's my life's blood! I couldn't live without games of chance!
Naesala: You're not going to be able to live if you keep playing them, either.
Makalov: No, there has to be another way! ...I know! When this war's over, why don't we team up? With your brains and my good looks and charm, Tellius wouldn't know what hit it! Sound like a plan?
Naesala: I'll think about it. Don't expect this will get you out of what you owe me, though. I have a long memory, especially when it comes to money.
Makalov: ...Haha...right.... Well, I'll cross that bridge when I come to it! Right now, I'm feeling lucky. I think I'll go see what the rest of the camp has to offer. Maybe tonight's the night I'll win it all back! Fortune, here I come!

Leanne: Yes, I do have an awful headache....
Naesala: Tell you what, Leanne. Let's get away from here for a minute or two. A flight will clear our heads.
Leanne: We can't do that! Everyone's counting on us!
Naesala: Counting on you, maybe. Heh, all right. I should have known you wouldn't skip out.
Leanne: Thank you for thinking of me, Naesala. You're always so good to me.
Naesala: Stop that before you mar my delicate features with a blush.
Leanne: Heehee!
Naesala: That's more like it. You always look your best when you're laughing.
Leanne: ...Naesala, when this battle's done, why don't we go for that flight? Just...you and me.

Leanne: I miss those days....
Naesala: Yeah, me too. Funny how things have changed, isn't it?
Leanne: I remember you used to always tease Rafiel when we were younger. Heehee, that probably hasn't changed, has it?
Naesala: Probably not. We'll find out when I finally get a minute with him again.
Leanne: You used to try to tease Tibarn, too. I had to stop him from trying to hit you sometimes.
Naesala: ...Hah. That hasn't changed, either. Ah, Leanne, you've always been my champion. You're better to me than I deserve.
Leanne: That's not true! You're a good person, Naesala. You always have been.
Naesala: ...Your faith in me is touching, even if it is unfounded. But enough gloomy talk--I'll end up with a face like Nealuchi's if we spend much more time on this nonsense.
Leanne: Naesala....
Naesala: Same goes for you. Let's see a smile now, before someone comes over here and beats me up for making you sad.
Leanne: All right....
Naesala: That's better. Now let's keep moving. The sooner we finish, the sooner we can find out if I'm as much of a tease as I used to be.

Naesala: Look, you're okay and I'm okay. Isn't that enough for you?
Leanne: No, it isn't! Naesala, you have to stop taking so many risks! Your luck won't last forever!
Naesala: If it runs out when I'm protecting you, then as far as I'm concerned, I'll have finally done something worthwhile with my life.
Leanne: Naesala!
Naesala: Leanne, listen. No one's going to miss me if I kick it, but if you die, the entire army will mourn. It's better like this.
Leanne: No, it's not! I-I'd miss you so much if you...if you didn't survive!
Naesala: You'd get over it. You've got Reyson and Lorazieh and even Rafiel now. And Tibarn would look after you. Between all of them, you wouldn't have time to miss me.
Leanne: That's not true! If you die, I'll never forgive you!
Naesala: I'd hardly be around to notice, you know.
Leanne: Naesala!
Naesala: ...All right. I promise I'll look after myself better. But in return, you have to promise to be more careful. No more flying near the front lines. Got it?
Leanne: I promise.
Naesala: ...Hey, Leanne. When this war is over, why don't you come to Kilvas? Permanently, I mean. It's far too inconvenient to have you going back and forth between Kilvas and Phoenicis all the time. Nealuchi's always exhausted these days, accompanying you, and it's making him even more crotchety than usual.
Leanne: ...That would be wonderful. I'd love to stay with you, Naesala. Especially since it looks like you need looking after.
Naesala: Hm, maybe you're right. So, it's a deal?
Leanne: Yes!
Naesala: Then we'll both do our best to survive. And maybe, when this whole mess is sorted out....

Janaff: Really?! You? I'm amazed at what you can do at only twenty-seven. You're a lot more accomplished than I was when I was your age.

Janaff: Still, it looks like you need a bit more experience in planning meals. You're not getting nearly enough meat in your diet.

Oscar: Janaff.
Janaff: What? What is it, Oscar?
Oscar: Janaff...there's something I really should explain. Beorc don't age the way laguz do. I don't know how long hawks live, but beorc usually don't live much past seventy.
Janaff: Seventy? Is that all?
Oscar: Yeah. So actually...I'm an adult.
Janaff: ...You let me think you were a kid all this time?
Oscar: Please don't be angry! I just didn't know how to explain it without insulting you!
Janaff: ...Heh. You know, I remember when you first called me a kid, I thought you were mocking me. But I've been treating you like a child for the past three years, and you never complained.
Oscar: It was pretty embarrassing...but it was also nice to have someone looking out for me. Ever since my parents died, I've been taking care of my younger brothers, just like you tried to take care of me. Greil used to be like a father to me, but...I haven't had anyone to make sure I was sleeping right or getting enough to eat since he died. Not the way a father or an uncle would.
Janaff: ...All right. I can forgive you for not speaking up sooner. But now that you have, I won't be treating you like a child anymore.
Oscar: That sounds good.
Janaff: Instead, I want to fight alongside you as an equal. As adults, each protecting the other.
Oscar: Yes--that's exactly what I want, too.
Janaff: I'll see you on the battlefield, Oscar, and this time I won't make excuses for your age if you
can't keep up.
Oscar: Just you wait. I'll surprise you with what a beorc can do.
Janaff: I'm looking forward to it.
I have no idea how many of these I'm going to wind up doing--it depends on when my short attention span runs out. But for now, here's where I'll be dumping them.

A Support

Makalov: Broke again.... I've got to find someone to borrow money from. ...Huh? Hey, isn't that King Naesala? Perfect! Kings have loads of money! I'll just turn on the charm and ask him. Hey, King Naesala!
B Support

Makalov: Grr! You rotten crook! You cheated!
----Makalov leaves.

Naesala: There's no need to worry about me, Leanne. I was thinking about the battle. This sort of thing is tough on herons, I know.
Naesala: Sounds like a plan. In that case, I'll be sure to finish things up quickly. Stay safe until then, Leanne.
Leanne: You too.

Naesala: Hey, Leanne. Ready for another flight together?
Leanne: As soon as we're done here, that would be great!
Naesala: We haven't had much of a chance to spend time together since we were kids, have we? It's always been one thing after the other these last few years.

Naesala: You never know--I'm full of surprises.

Leanne: Then what?
Naesala: Well, we'll see. Until then, stay close, Leanne.
Leanne: Always.

Janaff: Yes? ...! Oh look! It's little Oscar! I haven't seen you since the Mad King's War. You remember me, don't you? Unkie Janny?
Oscar: Uh, yes, I do. It's great to see you again, Ja--Unkie Janny.
Janaff: You've grown so much! You're still fighting alongside Ike?
Oscar: Y-yeah, still am.
Janaff: I'll never get you beorc as long as I live. But that doesn't matter! Unkie Janny will take you under his wing again. You won't have to worry about a thing with me around.
Oscar: Great... Uh, thanks a lot.
Janaff: I've got to fly, but I'll check in on you and make sure everything's going just fine. And if you have any more of those nightmares, be sure to let me know, all right? I can sing those lullabies again, the way I always used to.

Oscar: Uh, actually...I'm in charge.
Janaff: Really?! You? I'm amazed at what you can do at only twenty-seven. You're a lot more accomplished than I was when I was your age.
Oscar: ...Thanks, Unkie Janny.
Janaff: Still, it looks like you need a bit more experience in planning meals. You're not getting nearly enough meat in your diet.
Oscar: Sorry, I-I thought.... Actually, Unkie--Janaff....
Janaff: Don't apologize. You're still young, and you learn by making mistakes. I'll help you with your next meal, how's that sound?
