Summary: Neither of them take the time to do more than glance at their surroundings.
Author's Notes: It's been so long since I started this challenge (August 2005) that I keep on having to rewrite my themes. This was one of my earliest. I ended up ditching the ending and redoing it completely--I'm hoping the seams don't show too badly.
