Botta's death really annoys me in ToS, to be honest, and not just because I think he's an absolute dear and don't want him to die. Random Desian sorcerors are able to teleport (see the scene in Palmacosta where Magnius tries to hang Chocolat's mother) and so are the Renegades (to get us out of the Tower of Salvation for the first time--they weren't all standing on the teleport pad), so why did Botta and his soldiers suddenly lose the ability to do so when it counted the most? It makes no sense.
