You were right. We'd just talked about this so much I'd assumed you'd read it to me before, as I would have certainly remembered this.

Though, I've got to say. For all that this is events concerning my character's death, I spent most of the fic laughing. I didn't expect something to become more entertaining than Maurits coming out looking for his hairbrush and then his clothes, but the sudden rush of GRUNE IS IN DANGER beat that out.

But then the ending came and I felt sufficiently somber, right up to the awwww.
